Well, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka’s public outburst wasn’t enough for them to be in the headlines that the franchise has made another blunder on social media. Actually, the Lucknow team made a massive goof-up for Arshad Khan and ended up yet again heavily trolled by the fans on the internet.

LSG faced Delhi Capitals (DC) in their second last game of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, May 14. However, Rahul and his team slipped their chance of making it to the top 4 after being crushed by the DC by 19 runs in the thrilling encounter.

LSG made yet another blunder in the IPL 2024

In this IPL 2024 clash, there were only two shining stars from the LSG side during their unsuccessful chase of 209 runs against the DC, as their batting line-up collapsed like a house of cards, leading to their heartbreaking defeat at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.

However, Nicholas Pooran and uncapped batter Arshad Khan stole the show with their fabulous batting display against the Rishabh Pant-led Capitals, but their efforts were not enough to take the LSG over the line.

While Pooran played a quickfire knock of six runs off just 27 balls studded with six boundaries and four giant sixes, Arshad impressed one and all with his impressive unbeaten fifty.

The Madhya Pradesh all-rounder grabbed the opportunity with both hands by smashing the DC bowlers all over the park during his outburst. Arshad played a remarkable knock of unbeaten 58 runs off 33 balls, laced with three boundaries and five massive sixes against the DC.

He completed his fifty in 25 balls, and LSG took to the microblogging site X to appreciate their all-rounder’s efforts with the bat against the DC but ended up making a big goof-up as the franchise posted the picture of Pooran celebrating his fifty instead of the 26-year-old star.

Fans were quick to notice that Arshad was sitting beside LSG skipper KL Rahul in the dugout as Pooran was celebrating his sizzling knock against the DC at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Now, fans are heavily trolling the LSG for their massive blunder on social media. However, LSG played a smart game this time by deleting the post soon after realizing their blunder.

Recently, Sanjiv Goenka's animated conversation with Rahul after LSG’s 20-wicket defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) created a buzz on social media. In the viral video, Goenka was seen venting his anger at the skipper, Rahul, after LSG's disappointing display against the SRH.

However, Goenka decided to quash the rumors of his rift with Rahul after that incident by inviting Indian batters for a private dinner at his residence in Delhi. LSG will play their final league against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 17 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
