Michael Vaughan Mocks Wankhede Pitch Amid India vs New Zealand World Cup Semi-Final Clash

India and New Zealand are facing each other in the semi-final 1 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has mocked the surface of Wankhede by posting a photo of a local maidan (field) in Mumbai.
Michael Vaughan loves to take on different aspects of cricket and different players. If not the best cricketer, Vaughan is the best keyboard warrior for sure and he has maintained that tag for a long time even though he had to eat his words most of the time.
Michael Vaughan mocked the Wankhede pitch for the semi-finals by posting a photo of a man batting on a local maidan (field) in Mumbai and captioned it, “The World Cup semi-final pitch all ready to go at the Wankhede… Should be a cracker.”

Michael Vaughan Previously Praised The Wankhede Pitch
When Wankhede was about to host the England Vs South Africa game at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Michael Vaughan tweeted that Wankhede was the best venue in India for him. He has eaten his own words again in order to pretend to be funny and hilarious.
In that tweet, he mentioned, “For me, the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai is the best venue in India… Can’t wait for today’s game (ENG Vs SA) .. Pitch always produces great stroke play ..”

Michael Vaughan has been advised a lot of times to keep his nose out of other team’s and other people’s business. Vaughan’s England is already out of the World Cup barely qualifying for the ICC Champions Trophy. They even finished lower than Afghanistan on the points table and secured only three wins in nine matches in this World Cup.
Meanwhile, India is having an unbeaten run in the tournament and has registered nine wins in nine games with the semi-final against New Zealand going on. The Men In Blue have a very good chance to win the World Cup after 12 years in front of the home crowd. However, New Zealand have had a terrific record against India in ICC events which might stop this run.
