From years of experience, former England captain Michael Vaughan said even some of England's County cricket teams are better than the present Pakistan National Cricket Team, which suffered a 194-run defeat against the England National Cricket Team at Lord's after a defeat in Leeds. In both of the matches, the touring team batters were not in a position, at least for a single position, from which they could make a fightback, at least to justify their talents and the nation's legacy in the game.
After the Lord's Test match, Michael Vaughan described the Pakistan cricket team batters, including their captain Babar Azam, as only worthy of a second tier of the County Championship.

In a Telegraph column, the former England skipper, in his lavishly brutal comments, said that the Pakistan batters performed so poorly that the batting line-ups of Durham, Kent and Northamptonshire seemed to me stronger. Recalling all the memories and the past, Vaughan pointed out the current phase as the lowest in Pakistan's cricket history.
"I have described them as worthy of a County Championship Division Two batting line-up, and I stand by that. And I have actually been a bit unfair to Durham, Kent and Northamptonshire, who all have better batting line-ups than Pakistan," Vaughan said about the Pakistan cricket team.
"That’s the truth. They are a very poor team. I have never known a Pakistan team nearly this bad," he added.

However, he did not want to take the credit away from the England fast bowlers who bowled well in both Leeds and Lord's Test matches. From Ollie Robinson and Josh Tongue to Jofra Archer, all of the home team fast bowlers delivered well so far against the away team.
"You can only really judge the attack when conditions get tough. But what they have shown us in the two Test matches so far is that they have pace and variation. They have looked up for the challenge. But it is easy to look up for a challenge when you are going up against the Pakistan batting line-up," Michael Vaughan expressed.

He further suggested the Three Lions continue their momentum against the top cricketing nations as well to establish their domination. Vaughan sounded very much impressed with the England bowlers' attitude, body language and pace, but he wished to see the same against the strongest sides in the near future.
"So we can’t judge England in terms of their numbers against this team. But what I have seen in attitude, body language, pace – I want to see that against the better teams," Michael Vaughan mentioned.
"Against a team like this, it’s easy to be up for the challenge. It’s easy to have your body language strong; it’s easy to want the ball when it’s a Pakistan batsman. You’re not going to get hurt. There is not one Pakistan batsman who can hurt you – who can hit you off your length or take you out of the attack."
