Virat Kohli once again failed with the bat in Test cricket as he was able to score just 1 run off 9 balls in the first innings of the Pune Test. The dismissal of Virat Kohli became a major talking point with several experts slamming him for his poor shot.

The former India National Cricket Team cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar went one step further and labeled it as the worst shot of Virat Kohli's career.

Notably, the left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner bowled a juicy full toss to Kohli, which had boundary written all over it. However, to everyone's surprise, the India batter played across the line, missed the ball completely, and saw his stumps getting rattled. Watch here:

The pace at which Santner bowled today was spot on - Morne Morkel

India National Cricket Team bowling coach Morne Morkel attended the press conference from the Indian team after day 2, and he lauded the Kiwi bowlers for doing a great job in the match.

Morne Morkel gave a special mention to Santner for bowling at a good pace and admitted that the Black Caps made the rotation of strike very tough for the Indian batters. He also expressed disappointment over the performance of the Indian batting unit. Morne Morkel stated:

"I think they bowled very well in partnership. It was hard to rotate the strike. To keep the scoreboard ticking was important. The pace at which Santner bowled today was spot on. Arriving here 1-0, we were confident that we will bat big but it just didn't happen."
