The head of the board's Center of Excellence, VVS Laxman, also took the time to congratulate the team that lifted the prestigious trophy with pure dominance throughout the tournament.

Batting first, the India women's team scored 183 runs for 5 wickets in their 20-over limit. Sri Lanka tried their level best to counter the Indian bowling attack, but that effort was not enough to outplay India that night in Dubai.
The openers of the Indian cricket team, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, and the frontline spinners of the team also bowled equally well, especially Shree Charani. Shree Charani took 4 wickets in the final in his 4 overs spell, including a maiden over, to secure India's dominating win.
