Former Pakistan National Cricket Team star Mohammad Hafeez shared his take on the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed his sorrow and grief over the innocent people losing their lives in the attack, saying that he was sad and heartbroken.

In what was heartbreaking news, terrorists in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir launched an attack on the tourists on Tuesday (22nd April). As many as 26 people lost their lives while several others were injured, and it sent a massive shockwave across the globe.

Ever since the attack took place, several current and former cricketers have expressed their grief over the same. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, and others shared heartfelt messages on social media related to the same.

"Sad & Heartbroken" - Mohammad Hafeez expresses his sorrow over the Pahalgam attack

The latest to join the bandwagon was the former Pakistan National Cricket Team player Mohammad Hafeez.

The ex-captain of the Men in Green took to his X account and expressed his sorrow over the people losing their lives in a heartbreaking attack.

He wrote: "Sad & Heartbroken".

Mohammad Hafeez was recently in the news as well after his comments on Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram. The former Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper made a shocking comment, saying that players of the 90s didn't leave any legacy behind, adding that they didn't inspire the next generation.

Mohammad Hafeez also said that although the likes of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis were great players, they didn't win anything. He added that this sent a negative message, and hence, the team is struggling now as well.

Hafeez's comments were not taken well by some of the former cricketers of the team. Shoaib Akhtar and Inzamam-ul-Haq fired back at Hafeez. They lashed out at him, saying that players of the 90s were the big match-winners for the team.

Mohammed Shami was also among the cricketers who shared their grief for the attack in Pahalgam. He took to his Instagram account and said that violence not only targets individuals but also undermines the fabric of our society. He also extended his support to the victims' families. He said:

"I am deeply saddened to address the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This heinous act has resulted in significant loss of innocent lives and has left families shattered. Such violence not only targets individuals but also undermines the fabric of our society." He emphasized the need for unity in condemning terrorism and extending support to the victims' families.
