Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, two Pakistan national cricket team players under the NCCIA radar, have reportedly taken two very different routes through the investigation process. While Imam-ul-Haq is reportedly cooperative with the investigation officers, the experienced keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is not reportedly supporting the officers in the process.

It is also mentioned in the posts that the mobile phones of both cricketers are two vital points in the entire investigation procedure.
NCCIA investigation updates on Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq
According to the claims, Imam-ul-Haq is now cooperating with NCCIA officials, and deep forensic analysis of his mobile phones has begun. The phones are crucial as the cricketers are alleged to have had contact with the illegal betting activities during the England vs Pakistan Test series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) caught everyone by surprise when it called seven cricketers from the Test squad after two heavy defeats against England. The cricket board snubbed seven cricketers, including Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, ahead of the remaining match of the three-match Test series. Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and his assistant Umar Gul were also removed from the Test team.
PCB confirmed the investigation process
Initially, it was assumed that the snubs were because of the poor performance. Later, the local media outlets of Pakistan started to claim that the snubs were not only because of the on-field performance, but the decision was also influenced by something serious that took place outside the cricket ground. One of the spokesperson of the cricket board also stated that there was an internal investigation against some of their cricketers.
After snubbing the players, PCB's one of the most influential officials, Aaqib Javed, in an interview said that they would definitely take Imam-ul-Haq under investigation, as the opener was accused of skipping batting in both innings of the second Test, citing an injury issue. However, the nature of his injury was suspicious to many.

Mohammad Rizwan tried to secure a safeguard
On the other side, Mohammad Rizwan, who has been trying to defend himself from the very beginning of the investigation process, wanted to address the matter in the public domain. It was previously reported that the keeper-batter sought permission from PCB to allow him to speak about the matter publicly. PCB rejected his plea. In search of safeguards, Rizwan went to the Lahore High Court and made a request to the International Cricket Council (ICC), but none of his attempts brought him relief.
Latest claims suggest that Mohammad Rizwan has reportedly missed multiple calls for forensic examination. He will be contacted again and could face a formal notice if he fails to appear. NCCIA has also offered to send an officer to Rizwan for the required Face ID verification. What Rizwan will do next and what the final verdict will be after the entire investigation process will be interesting to know.
