Mohammed Shami enters team India bowlers in England

Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has stepped forward to craft a message for the team India bowlers to extend maximum support in favour of Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah has received another supporter in the form of former teammate Mohammed Shami. Shami has given a clear message to Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and more to increase their efficiency while bowling aside from the great Jasprit Bumrah.
Shami identified that Bumrah was on the mark as he claimed a five-wicket haul in front of the English batters, troubling them to all limits in the first innings of the Leeds test.
However, with no such impact from the other pacers, Siraj and Krishna. As a result, the English batters had a clear strategy to be watchful against Bumrah in the second innings and take on the other bowlers for runs.
"In bowling, other Indian bowlers should talk to Bumrah and learn from him. They should talk about planning with him and support him. If they will support Bumrah, then we can easily win the match," Mohammed Shami claimed on his YouTube channel.
Mohammed Shami's record for India in Test Cricket
Mohammed Shami was dropped from India's test team for the five-match series against England. There might be concerns regarding the pacer's fitness, while also his troubled form in this edition of the IPL might have been a reason cited for his drop from the squad.
Shami made his debut in the longest format of the game back in 2013 when he played his first test against the West Indies for the Baggy Blue. The 34-year-old had a splendid career with the Blues, picking up 229 wickets in 64 test matches.
Mohammed Shami has been part of both the ICC World Test Championships in 2019-21 and 2021-23. Shami played his last test back in the ICC World Test Championship Final of 2023 against Australia.

Shami not only became the fastest bowler to have 200 ODI scalps but also surpassed the former great Zaheer Khan for having the most wickets by an Indian bowler in ICC events. Shami has picked up 60 wickets in the ODI events. He also has the most five-wicket hauls picked in an ODI ICC event.
Leaving aside Jasprit Bumrah: How did the other Indian bowlers perform at Leeds?
Leaving aside the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Indian pacers have picked 9 wickets in the first test at Headingley. India had the option of other pacers in Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur in the pace deck alongside Bumrah.
Mohammed Siraj picked up 2 wickets in the first innings of the match, followed by a wicketless second innings. Krishna had a better impact with 3 wickets, followed by 2 wickets across the two innings, despite leaking a large amount of runs.
Shardul Thakur was entrusted with the ball on the fewest occasions, as his spell marked 2 wickets and 90 runs in 16 overs he bowled at Leeds. Overall, the Indian bowlers didn't seem on par with the great Jasprit Bumrah, and as recognized by Shami, they need to rework their bowling plans.
