Action is guaranteed when Mohammed Siraj is on action. The experienced Indian pacer, who watched the previous two matches from the sidelines, is currently on the ground with the Men in Blue with the aim of whitewashing West Indies in the three-match ODI series.
On the fourth ball of the ninth over, during the run chase, Mohammed Siraj extended his follow-through with an intention to intimidate the batter, Amir Jangoo, who was then on strike. Jangoo went to play a cover drive off Siraj's 137.5kph.
Mohammed Siraj exchanges heated words with Amir Jangoo
The delivery was not too wide off the off stump to be treated with a cover drive. The batter also made very little adjustment to execute the short. In the end, Amir Jangoo somehow survived as the ball passed the stumps by only some inches after getting an inside edge from the bat.
It could be Siraj's second wicket of the night if the ball had lashed on the stumps. Earlier in an innings, the pacer bowled out the in-form Caribbean batter, John Campbell. Jangoo survived being bowled out, but had to endure the words thrown by Siraj. A heated moment in the middle of the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
