India faces setback as Mohammed Siraj walks off during The Gabba Test
The Indian pacer seemed to realize it right after bowling the previous ball, but he tried stretching it but eventually called for the physio and walked back to the Indian dressing room. It is being said that it was the right-arm pacer’s left hamstring that forced him to leave the field in pain.
Mohammed Siraj was in the middle of his 11th over when he sustained the injury in the ongoing third Test against Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane. After delivering the first two balls, the star started stretching his left leg and looked emotional with the physio coming out to check on him.
Following a brief examination, the Indian team's physio guided Siraj back to the dressing room, and Akash Deep stepped in to finish the over. However, Siraj returned to the field after the 40th over, but it left the Indian fans worried, as it could have been the biggest setback for India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia.

Meanwhile, on Day 2, Jasprit Bumrah gave India a strong start by removing both Australian openers early. Usman Khawaja, the left-hander, was caught behind after scoring 21, while Nathan McSweeney was dismissed for just 9 in Brisbane.
Later, Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed Labuschagne for 12. The day began as planned with favorable weather, creating a perfect setup for an exciting battle between India and Australia at The Gabba. However, Steve Smith and Travis Head are becoming big threats to the Indian team.
