Days after Peshawar Zalmi lifted the Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026) trophy, the Mohsin Naqvi-headed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Australia’s white-ball tour of Pakistan on Thursday, May 7. The much-awaited series will feature three ODI matches.

It will be a historic moment for Pakistan as Australia will visit the country for the third time since the 2009 terror attack on the Sri Lankan national team bus. Previously, the Australian team came to Pakistan for a multi-format series in 2022 and then for the white-ball series earlier this year.

Key Points

  • PCB has officially announced Australia’s white-ball tour of Pakistan for 2026.
  • The series will feature three ODI matches between Pakistan and Australia.
  • Rawalpindi and Lahore have been selected as the host venues for the ODI matches.

The upcoming white-ball series will be Australia’s second visit to Pakistan within three months in 2026. At that time, the Men in Green had whitewashed the Kangaroos in the three-match T20I series. However, the upcoming bilateral ODI series will be Australia’s first in Pakistan since 2022.

The first ODI will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 30 May, while the second and third ODIs will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 2 and 4 June, respectively.

The Australia A men’s squad will be in focus, as this series could decide several names for next year’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. Young stars and Test hopefuls will get one final chance to impress selectors before the squad will be picked for the high-pressure Test series.

The Australia A side will play two four-day matches and three one-day games against India A between September 22 and October 11. All matches will take place in Puducherry. The women’s Australia A squad will also have a busy tour of India.

Their all-format series will begin on September 12 with T20 matches in Mohali before the action moves to Dharamshala for one-day matches and a four-day clash. The tour will continue till October 2, giving several rising women cricketers a golden chance to prove themselves on Indian pitches.

At the same time, Australia’s Under-19 men’s team will face India U19 in the one-day series across Rajkot and Ahmedabad from September 18 to October 8. The tour will feature both one-day and four-day matches, with many future stars expected to turn heads.
