Pakistan’s former prime minister and legendary all-rounder Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, is reportedly unwell. The former Pakistan captain’s health has become a serious concern inside prison. The matter became even more sensitive after his sisters made shocking allegations.

Mohsin Naqvi under the radar as Imran Khan controversy takes a shocking turn

They claimed that powerful persons, including Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and Interior Minister, and Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army Chief, are putting pressure on the family and targeting Imran. Naqvi’s PCB role added more spice to this shocking news.

Imran Khan’s sisters, Dr. Uzma Khan and Aleema Khan, claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir are planning a conspiracy to kill the legendary all-rounder.

They shared that Imran Khan himself told them that some people are planning to kill him in jail. Uzma said during a press conference, as quoted by NDTV, "These people will kill me; they have made a plan to kill me.”

Sisters claim Imran Khan denied access to trusted doctors

On the other hand, Aleema Khan raised serious concerns about her brother’s worsening eye condition. She claimed that he is not being allowed to consult the doctors he trusts.

Aleema stated, “Mohsin Naqvi is threatening us; they have tasted blood. If anything happens to Imran Khan or to us, mark my words, we will not spare anyone's future generations either.”

Imran Khan’s sisters also revealed that the Pakistan government rejected the medical specialists suggested by their doctors and instead offered different names. They continued, “We then put forward our cousin Nausherwan Burki's name to represent the family. We are very disturbed that they rejected his name as well. This is unacceptable!”

Global cricket legends unite for Imran Khan

Meanwhile, the cricket world has come together for the legendary all-rounder. According to the media reports, a total of 14 international stars, including the former Indian captains Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, have written to the Pakistan government following Imran’s health concerns hitting the headlines.

Apart from the Indian legends, Michael Atherton, Allan Border, Michael Brearley, Greg Chappell, Ian Chappell, Belinda Clark, David Gower, Kim Hughes, Nasser Hussain, Clive Lloyd, Steve Waugh, and John Wright have signed the latter to the Pakistan government.

They have described him as not just a former prime minister but a global cricket icon who brought pride to his country. They felt the values of cricket, like fairness, respect, and honor, should not stop at the boundary line. They believe those values must be followed even outside the stadium.

Health concerns in Jail raise alarm

These cricket stars have urged authorities to ensure that Imran is treated with dignity while he remains in jail. They stressed that a former national leader and 1992 World Cup-winning captain deserves basic human care and justice, no matter the situation.

It is being said that he has lost around 85 percent of the vision in his right eye while being held at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Notably, Imran is currently serving a 14-year prison sentence in a corruption case.
