Team India Needs To Move On- Kapil Dev

While speaking to reports, World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev shared a message for Team India. He feels that the team needs to move on as they can’t carry this blow for the rest of life.

“Sportsman has to move on. Can’t carry on this blow for the rest of life. This is for the fans. A sportsman has to move on. What’s happened cannot be undone. Keep working hard. That’s what a sportsman is all about. They played really good cricket. Yes, they couldn’t cross the final hurdle. What we can learn from this mistake is what a sportsman is all about,” Kapil Dev said.

After losing the final, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said that they failed to stitch big partnerships in the match.

“We tried everything we could from our side. But yeah, it wasn’t supposed to be. We couldn’t stitch a big partnership there. And that’s exactly what Australia did to win the game. They stitched a big partnership after those three wickets,” Rohit had said after the defeat.

Australia surprised Indian fans by crushing the mighty India in the final. Team India was the most dominating side during the league stage and also crushed Australia once. However, they failed to outplay them in the final.

Now, India and Australia will wrestle in a five-match T20I series. The opening game takes place on Thursday, November 23 in Visakhapatnam. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian team in the absence of senior players.
