MS Dhoni brutally slandered on BCCI offering him India's Mentorship

Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary has cast doubt on MS Dhoni's willingness to accept the BCCI's offer for a mentorship role in the Indian team, also questioning whether he has answered the phone, as the player suggests it is complicated to reach him over the phone.
Indian cricket has gained its modern-day stature due to its dominance in international cricket over the last two decades, and former Indian skipper MS Dhoni had a huge role to play in the imminent success of the Indian team.
MS Dhoni led India after their tragic exit from the group stages of the ICC World Cup 2007, as a result of which he led them in the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, which was won by the Indian team. Later, he led them to their second World Cup title in 2011, ending their long wait of 28 years.
He became the first skipper in the world to win all three white-ball ICC tournaments after winning the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. MS Dhoni is also a very successful campaigner in the history of the IPL, as he has led CSK to 5 IPL trophies over the years.
MS Dhoni was offered a broader mentorship role by the BCCI
As per recent reports, former Indian skipper and veteran star MS Dhoni has been offered a mentorship role in the Indian team by the BCCI. The BCCI had previously offered a mentorship role to Dhoni ahead of the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, which he took up under the reign of Ravi Shastri.
MSD, who is 44 years old but still continues to feature for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, is probably nearing the end of his illustrious career and may be looking for mentorship and coaching roles.
However, unlike 2021, this time the BCCI has decided to offer a broader role to the CSK veteran and the former Indian skipper. His mentorship role would include not only the Indian junior and senior men's teams but also the women's team. The BCCI wants his involvement across all sectors.
Manoj Tiwary's "Woh phone uthaye hain na?" remark on MSD
Reacting to the above-mentioned offer made by the BCCI, former Indian cricketer and current MLA from West Bengal, Manoj Tiwary, has taken a jibe at the former Indian cricketer by stating that he tends not to be available over the phone.
“Woh phone uthaye hain na? Jahaan tak mujhe pataa hain phone pe milna bohot mushkil hai woh! Message ka reply bhi milta bohot kam hai. (Did he pick up the phone? Because it is difficult to reach him on the phone. Replies to messages from him are also very rare)"
"Bohot players apne samay main kahaa bhi hai. Pataa nahi woh reply kya karenge… woh message padhenge ki nahi padhenge (many players have said this, whether he will read the message or not? we don’t know),” Tiwary said when asked by news agency ANI.
Tiwary is excited to witness the pairing of MS Dhoni alongside Gautam Gambhir
The former cricketer, who has played for Kolkata Knight Riders before, has played under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir and has also played for India under the veteran skipper MS Dhoni. Having been aware of the strained relationship between the two cricketers, he said that he is excited to see the two working together if Dhoni accepts the offer.
“The first thing is whether he will accept the role or not. It’s very difficult for me to predict what impact he will have. His experience as a captain and as a player will be very useful, as the new players emerging today and becoming stars of the Indian team give him a lot of respect," he said.
"The pairing of MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir will also be worth watching,” Tiwary added.
