Fans on Twitter reacted after Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni walked out to bat at nine during the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025. The game between the two teams is underway at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday (11th April).

Chennai Super Kings are having a terrible time with the bat in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Asked to bat first, the Dhoni-led side has looked clueless against the spinners of the opposition on a surface that has been offering spin.

MS Dhoni walked out to bat at 9 during CSK vs KKR

Chennai Super Kings were left reeling at 64 for four, and it was expected that Dhoni would take the responsibility and walk out to bat early. But that wasn't the case, as he promoted Ravichandran Ashwin to get some quick runs, but the move failed as he was back early, scoring just 1 run off 7 balls.

After Ravichandran Ashwin got out, Dhoni was still sitting in the dressing room, as it was Ravindra Jadeja who walked out to bat at seven. But when the all-rounder got out, it was almost certain that he would be the one who would come and bat.

But to the surprise of many, Chennai Super Kings used an impact player as he sent out Deepak Hooda. The move, too, failed, and finally, it was at nine when Dhoni walked out to bat. This came as a massive surprise, as his coming to bat this late surely didn't help the team.
