David Miller, the swashbuckling South African batsman has called MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain one of his favorite cricketers and the best finisher he has ever seen in cricket. This happened during a Q&A session on Twitter when a fan asked Miller to say a few words on MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsman to play for India and perhaps the most successful in terms of runs, matches, and dismissals. He is just behind Mark Boucher (999) in terms of most dismissals by a keeper in international cricket across formats with 829 dismissals to his name.
He is also regarded as one of the greatest limited-overs captains ever, given that Dhoni is the only captain to win all the three ICC trophies- The T20 World Cup, the 50-over World Cup, and the Champions Trophy. He also took India to the no.1 spot in the ICC Test team rankings for the first time and has led the team in 200 ODIs.
Dhoni’s batting record also speaks for itself, especially in ODIs, where he made 10773 runs in 350 ODIs, with 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries at an average of 50.57 hitting 826 fours and 229 sixes in his career that started in 2004- 2019.

The BCCI had no choice but to suspend the tournament. Miller’s Rajasthan Royals is in the bottom half of the points table, while Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings are in the top three of the points table of IPL 2021.
With the BCCI announcing that the remaining 31 matches of the IPL 2021 will be played in UAE reportedly in the Sept-Oct window, it will be interesting to see if David Miller and other South African stars will travel to the desert country to play in the tournament with many other boards and players not so interested in coming back for the second half.
