MS Dhoni Makes An Unexpected Visit To Chennai In His New Avatar, CSK Share Photos

MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Friday, October 7, and Chennai Super Kings said it was an expected trip from their captain. The former India skipper was given a warm welcome on his arrival in Chennai and the Super Kings greeted their “Thala” with a heartfelt tweet.

The Chennai Super Kings skipper, MS Dhoni is one of the most popular superstars in Indian cricket. The official Twitter handle of the Chennai Super Kings posted pictures of Dhoni as he was seen leaving the Chennai International Airport in the late afternoon wearing a white t-shirt and a black mask. He is part of the Indian Premier League and is the heartthrob of the Chennai Super Kings franchise.

Dhoni’s fandom knows no bounds and he is considered a cult icon and a pioneer of the sport. From leading India in major ICC tournaments like the ICC World Cup 2011, ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013 and guiding CSK to four IPL titles, Dhoni turned everything he touched into gold.

MS Dhoni was spotted shooting for a commercial with Sachin Tendulkar earlier this month. While the two great players were playing tennis, the crew also interacted with them. He recently shot an ad with his former teammate and friend, Yuvraj Singh.

Dhoni played for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2022, scoring 232 runs in 14 games with a decent average of over 30. However, CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs. Dhoni had to take over the captaincy from Ravindra Jadeja in the middle of the IPL 2022 season. The wicketkeeper-batsman stepped down from the captaincy at the start of the season.

The World Cup-winning captain expressed his intention to play in IPL 2023 at the end of the season. Dhoni is expected to captain Chennai Super Kings in the next season of the IPL, which will be held in a home and away-format.
