Former New Zealand cricketer Danny Morrison picked his ultimate India National Cricket Team batter. The reputed commentator went on to pick MS Dhoni over Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, and current team skipper Rohit Sharma.

Danny Morrisson was involved in a fun session with InsideSport. The former New Zealand cricketer was asked to make the choices between the two players, and the last man standing was the ultimate batter of the India National Cricket Team, according to him.

Dany Morrison was first asked to choose one player between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. The cricketer-turned-commentator didn't take much time and went with the current white-ball vice-captain of the India National Cricket Team over the explosive left-handed opening batter.

After that, he was asked to pick between Shubman Gill and Sanju Samson. Morrison picked the keeper-batter over Gill and also rated the Samson better than KL Rahul. But according to him, Rishabh Pant is superior to the Rajasthan Royals skipper as he picked the Delhi Capitals skipper over the right-hander.

Danny Morrison was then asked to pick one player between Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. He went on to name keeper-batter over the middle order and also picked Pant over Ruturaj Gaikwad, saying that he loves left-handed batters.

But when it came to picking one between Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni, he straightaway went to name the former India National Cricket Team skipper. He said that if he didn't name Dhoni, people would come hunting for him.

After that, he was asked to pick between MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. He didn't take much time and immediately named the keeper-batter. In the end, it was a choice between Dhoni and Virat Kohli, to which he said it was a no-brainer, and he went on to pick the former Chennai Super Kings captain.

MS Dhoni is one of the best players to have played for the India National Cricket Team. What he has done for the national team is something that no one has achieved. Under his leadership, the Men in Blue won all ICC tournaments associated with white-ball and also became No.1 in Tests.

In terms of batting, MS Dhoni is touted as the best finisher in the game of cricket. He played played 90 Test matches, 350 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 98 T20 Internationals. The keeper-batter mustered 4,876 runs in Test cricket, 10,773 runs in ODIs, and 1,617 runs in T20s. Apart from this, he has been staggering in IPL, amassing 5,243 runs in 264 matches.

MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020 but since then has been in the Indian Premier League. The keeper-batter, even in his 40s, is hitting big sixes like his prime. There is no clarity over his future in the league. There have been several reports that he will be deciding on his future once the BCCI releases the retention policy for the mega auction.
