Former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s parents have been tested positive for Covid-19. The Chennai Super Kings skipper is busy with his IPL 2021 commitments, leading Chennai Super Kings in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. MS Dhoni is currently in Mumbai and gearing up for CSK’s 4th match of IPL 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
After IPL 2020 in UAE, MS Dhoni spent a lot of time with his family as he had already retired from international cricket. After the end of IPL 2020 in November last year, MS Dhoni spent a lot of personal time with his family at his home in Ranchi. He joined the CSK training camp only in March. After the training camp, Chennai Super Kings travelled to Mumbai where they had to play the first few games in IPL 2021.
MS Dhoni’s Parents Admitted To Private Hospital In Ranchi
MS Dhoni’s mother Devaki Devi and father Pan Singh Dhoni have been tested positive for Covid-19 and admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi. MS Dhoni’s father and mother are undergoing treatment at Pulse Super speciality Hospital in Ranchi.
The COVID-19 situation in the country has been worsening day by day. Some states have also imposed weekend lockdowns and partial lockdowns due to the rising number of cases. In the past 24 hours, India has seen over 2.95 lakh Covid-19 cases. States like Maharashtra and Karnataka have been most affected by rising cases. Cities like Delhi and Mumbai have become hotspots for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has done a great job while leading Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. CSK lost the opening match to Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets.
However, they bounced back in the next two games. Chennai Super Kings defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets in their second match and then defeated Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs in their next game. CSK bowlers showed outstanding performances in both games. With 4 points, Chennai Super Kings are placed on the 3rd spot in IPL 2021 points table. CSK will next face Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday (April 21).
