Rape case filed against Ex-Mumbai Indians player Shivalik Sharma in Rajasthan

In her statement, she claimed that Shivalik called her to Baroda in August 2024, but things took a turn when his parents ended the engagement and said that they are looking for another girl for their son.

ACP Anand Rajpurohit was quoted as saying by Sports Tak: “A woman, a resident of Sector 2, Kudi Bhagatasani, has levelled allegations against cricketer Shivalik Sharma. The woman had gone for a walk in Vadodara in February 2023, where she met Shivalik.

Their friendship gradually turned into a romantic relationship, and they would speak for hours over the phone. Both families met in 2023, and the couple got engaged. After their engagement, they engaged in physical relations.”

Meanwhile, Shivalik Sharma was picked by the MI in the IPL 2024 mini-auction for his base price of INR 20 lakh, but he didn’t get a chance to make his debut. The left-handed batter represents Baroda in domestic cricket and played under the leadership of Krunal Pandya, who is now playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing IPL 2025.

Shivalik began his first-class career in 2018 as a teenager but had a rough start, getting dismissed for a duck against Chhattisgarh. However, he made a strong comeback and has scored 1,087 runs in 18 matches at an average of 43.48.
