Sarfaraz and Musheer are currently playing for India B in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024. Sarfaraz was dismissed for just 9 runs against India A in Bengaluru. However, his brother Musheer rescued the team from a challenging situation and remained unbeaten on 105 at stumps on Thursday.
Sarfaraz Khan And I Have The Same Game - Musheer Khan
After the first day's play, Musheer shared how his brother Sarfaraz Khan encouraged him to play his natural game. Musheer mentioned that he tries to follow Sarfaraz's approach as they have similar playing styles.
“My brother and I have the same game. I try to follow whatever he does. In the middle, he only asked me to follow my technique. Usne bola agar tere ko lagta aage bad sakta hai, to aage bad kar khel (If you feel like moving forward, go ahead and do it),” Musheer said post the day’s play.

India A's pacers Akash Deep and Avesh Khan took advantage of the conditions at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Abhimanyu Easwaran was dismissed for 13 off 42 balls by Avesh Khan. Musheer came to bat at No. 3 and countered the pace and bounce by repeatedly stepping down the track.
Musheer Khan and Sarfaraz Khan batted together for 10 overs before India B's batting order collapsed to 94/7. Musheer then formed a crucial unbeaten partnership with Navdeep Saini, who scored 29 runs off 74 balls. The batting duo added more than 100 runs for the eighth wicket on Day 1.
I Wanted To Bat The Whole Day - Musheer Khan
Musheer reached his third first-class century in just his seventh match. The 19-year-old batter said that he wanted to focus on staying at the crease without thinking too much about runs. Khan said that the runs would come after settling at the crease.
“I wanted to play as many balls as possible without thinking too much about runs. I wanted to bat the whole day, and I was taking it session by session," Musheer stated.
"The ball was swinging and cutting when I came to bat. So, I was trying to play the ball as close to my body as possible, and was looking to avoid those risky shots. I knew runs would eventually come,” he added.
The Mumbai batter has delivered strong performances under pressure. The batter scored two first-class centuries for Mumbai before his recent century. He had scored a century in a Ranji Trophy quarterfinal and final. Now he's continued his impressive form in his debut Duleep Trophy game.
