Mustafizur Rahman Bought By CSK For 2 Crores In IPL Auction 2024

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman will ply his trade for Chennai Super Kings in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The defending champions signed up the left-arm pacer at his base price of Rs 2 crore in the ongoing IPL auction 2024.
The Bangladesh star has been plying his trade in the IPL since 2016. He earned his maiden IPL contract from Sunrisers Hyderabad after his sensational start to his international career that saw him pick five-wicket hauls against India in the first two ODIs. He lived up to the expectations in his first IPL season as he picked up 17 wickets and helped Sunrisers Hyderabad win their maiden IPL title.
However, Mustafizur Rahman has not managed to do well since then. In five seasons since his maiden campaign, he has picked up more than 10 wickets just once. In the last two IPL seasons, he played for Delhi Capitals and managed only 9 wickets in 10 games. He also failed to impress in the World Cup this year, managing only 5 wickets in 8 games.
