“My message to Virat is to go out and enjoy and have fun out there. Put a smile on your face. I will be there watching you. Bring that (IPL) trophy home. Enjoy every minute of it,” AB de Villiers said.

“To the fans, just buckle up. It’s going to be a great final. It’s going to be one to remember, and just be sure that the boys will give their absolute best till the last ball," he added.

Chris Gayle Set to Attend IPL 2025 Clash in Ahmedabad

Chris Gayle, who has played for both Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings in the IPL, confirmed that he will attend the final between his two former teams. Gayle expressed his excitement about witnessing the clash.

"En route to support my 2 former team RCB & PBKS in the IPL finals. A big shoutout to @qatarairways for the smooth flight and great service 🙌🏻," Gayle wrote.

Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers formed a formidable batting trio for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They last played an IPL final together in 2016, when RCB reached the summit clash. However, the Bengaluru team lost to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final.

Virat Kohli Enjoying Another Outstanding IPL Season

Virat Kohli has been in remarkable form this season. He has scored 614 runs in 14 matches at an impressive average of 55.81 with a strike rate of 146.53. The right-handed batter has smashed eight half-centuries, all coming in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s victories.

This season also marks the third consecutive year that he has scored more than 600 runs in a single IPL edition. Kohli has featured in RCB’s previous final defeats in 2009, 2011, and 2016, and he will be eager to end the title drought and finally lift the IPL trophy.

The Delhi-born cricketer played a crucial role in India's 2024 T20 World Cup and 2025 Champions Trophy triumphs. He will be keen on winning the elusive IPL title.
