Former India coach Ravi Shastri asserted that his time as a coach was over and that he would now watch and enjoy the game from the sidelines. Shastri supervised a remarkable time in Indian cricket, building the squad up to be competitive for championships and a formidable force in Test matches.

During the former all-rounder’s tenure as coach, India achieved series victories throughout the globe as well as back-to-back Test series victories in Australia. The group also advanced to the Test Championship’s inaugural final.

After the team’s early elimination from the T20 World Cup last year, the former all-rounder for India resigned from his position as coach.

If I’m Doing Some Coaching, It Will Be At The Grassroots Level: Ravi Shastri

In an exclusive interview with Sports Today, Shastri was asked if he would be interested in working as a coach with the league’s clubs. Shastri is now the commissioner of the Legends League Cricket.

The former India coach promptly rejected the idea and said that his coaching career was ended. He continued by saying that he had fun throughout his seven years as the Indian team’s coach.

Shastri continued by saying that he will be working at the game’s grassroots level and providing instruction in that area. In addition, the former Indian coach stated that he will be enjoying the game from the sidelines as a spectator.

“Mera coaching ka hisaab khatham ho gaya (My time with coaching has come to an end). Saath saal jitna karna tha, mein kar liya (For seven years, I have done enough).

If I’m doing some coaching, it will be at the grassroots level, for which I have a company that is doing it. I will participate in that. Otherwise, my time as a coach has come to an end. Now I will view the game from far away and enjoy it,” said Shastri.
