The former cricketer-turned-commentator has been all over social media because of his trademark commentary and punchlines in the commentary box. However, he has not been commentating in recent games, leaving the fans confused.
Rumours are circulating on social media that the outspoken commentator has been sacked by the BCCI. Although he has been actively posting about the IPL on social media, his absence from the commentary panel has left many fans fearing the worst.

One worried fan decided to take the initiative and directly ask Navjot Singh Sidhu about his absence from the commentary panel. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the fan asked: "Why are you not doing commentary?"

The fan's question was noticed by Navjot Singh Sidhu and he was quick to post a response. The former cricketer made it clear that the rumours about his sacking are not true and that he would be back in the commentary box on May 5.
"Will be back in the saddle on the 5th may bro," wrote Navjot Singh Sidhu.
The exchange between the fan and Navjot Sidhu took place after the latter posted about Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli's heroics for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Delhi Capitals. Both of them starred with the bat as RCB thrashed DC by six wickets to move to the top of the points table.

The RCB bowlers came up with a fine show to restrict DC to 162/8 in 20 overs on a good batting pitch. In reply, RCB were in all sorts of trouble after being reduced to 26/3. However, Kohli and Krunal hit brilliant fifties to take their team home.
RCB are currently at the top of the table with 7 wins from 10 games. They have also become the first team to win seven games this season. RCB are followed by Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, and Delhi Capitals in the top four.
