India's experiment with a young squad ended in complete failure. After losing the T20I series 2-0 to Ireland, the Men in Blue were thrashed by 4-0 by England in the five-match series.
The dismal performances have now forced the BCCI to review the team's performance and hold discussions with the coaching staff and team management.
After the fifth and final T20I on July 11, Mohammad Kaif slammed the team management for the poor handling of the young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and experienced wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson.
The former Indian batter felt the constant changes in the opening combination created confusion instead of giving confidence to either player.

India made big changes, but experiments failed in England
India entered the England tour after making several major changes. Suryakumar Yadav was sacked as India’s T20I captain, while Shreyas Iyer was given the captaincy. Tilak Varma was named vice-captain as the team management looked to build a new group for the future.
One of the biggest talking points was the debut of 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The teenage batter created history by becoming the youngest player ever to represent India in international cricket, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing record.
The selectors also handed opportunities to uncapped players like Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav. However, the inexperienced bowling attack struggled badly throughout the series. India's batting also failed to deliver consistently.
