Fans on Twitter reacted after India National Cricket Team took a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. They won the third game of the series by 23 runs at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Wednesday.

Opting to bat first, India were off to a brutal start with the bat as openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and skipper Shubman Gill (66) batted aggressively at the start. They added 67 runs for the opening partnership and provided a great platform to the team.

Abhishek Sharma, who batted at number three, couldn’t make an impact with the bat as he scored ten runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad (49) came up with a vital effort and along with captain Gill stitched 72 runs for the third wicket.

Based on their partnership, India posted a total of 182 for four. For Zimbabwe, Sikander Raza and Blessing Muzarabani picked two wickets each and bowled with an economy of around 6 while the rest of the bowlers were expensive.

Zimbabwe didn’t have a great start to their innings as they lost five wickets early and were left tottering at 39 for five. India pacers Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan picked three wickets together and then Washington Sundar followed it up with two wickets.

But after that, Dion Myers (65*) and Clive Madande (37) tried hard and added 77 runs to bring their team back into the game. After that latter got out, Wellington Masakadza (18*) tried his best and joined hands with Dion Myers.

But Indian bowlers were right on the money and restricted the opposition to 159 for six and won the game by 23 runs. With the win, they took a lead in the series and are ahead with a 2-1 margin.
