New Zealand Cricket has made some minor changes for the India women team’s tour of New Zealand.

India women team, who were the 2017 World Cup finalists, is scheduled to play a single T20 International and five One-Day International matches ahead of the ICC 2022 World Cup squad.

India will start their tour with the lone T20I match against the White Ferns in Queenstown on February 9. The first ODI was earlier expected to begin on February 11 followed by the second (on February 14) and third (February 16) with the last two matches being held on the 22nd and 24th of this month.

New Zealand Cricket has made no change in the T20I match between the two sides but has pushed the first three ODIs for one or two days ahead with the last two games to go as per the schedule.

NZC has made changes to the dates of the KFC India Tour of NZ between the WHITE FERNS and India Women, to be played exclusively at John Davies Oval in Queenstown,” the board issued a statement.

On January 6, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced a 15-member Indian women’s team squad for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 and New Zealand ODI series.

Veteran Indian player Mithali Raj will lead the Indian team for the last time before she retires from international cricket at the end of the World Cup in April.

Harmanpreet Kaur will be Mithali’s deputy for both the World Cup and the New Zealand series.
