New Zealand, on Wednesday (September 17), announced its squad for the upcoming Chappell-Hadlee Trophy T20I series against Australia. The Black Caps' pace attack has been bolstered by the return of Kyle Jamieson and Ben Sears.
Both players had missed New Zealand's last T20I assignment, which was the tri-series in Zimbabwe.

Apart from the Kiwis and Zimbabwe, South Africa also participated in the series. Jamieson missed the series to attend the birth of his first child, while Sears was sidelined owing to an injury.
The Kiwis have named a formidable pace attack for the series against their Trans-Tasman Rivals. The squad features No.1-ranked T20I bowler Jacob Duffy, Zak Foulkes, and the experienced Matt Henry.

With captain Mitchell Santner sidelined after an abdominal surgery, all-rounder Michael Bracewell will be leading the Kiwis in the upcoming T20I series.
Santner is expected to return for the series against England later this month. Along with Bracewell, leg-spinner Ish Sodhi is the other frontline spinner in the squad.
Santner is not the only senior name missing from the BlackCaps' squad. Apart from him, the likes of Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips and Lockie Ferguson are also unavailable for the series due to injury.
Star players ruled out
On the other hand, former captain Kane Williamson, who recently signed an international casual playing agreement with New Zealand Cricket, has made himself unavailable for the series.
Meanwhile, Bevon Jacobs has retained his spot in the squad after scoring an unbeaten 44 on debut against South Africa in Zimbabwe.
Senior wicketkeeper-batsman Devon Conway has also managed to keep his position in the squad after being selected as an injury cover during the tri-series in Zimbabwe.
The three-match series between Australia and the BlackCaps will get underway on October 1 at Bay Oval. The second and third matches will be played on October 3 and 4 respectively at the same venue.
