Nida Dar removed as Pakistan's captain

Nida Dar was recently removed as Pakistan's captain after the team lost in the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2024.

Young allrounder Fatima Sana has been appointed the new Pakistan women's captain and she will lead the team in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, set to be played in UAE in October.

Meanwhile, India won the T20 World Cup 2024 in a thrilling fashion by defeating South Africa in the final by 7 runs.

With this victory, India ended the drought for an ICC title which has been going on for the last 11 years. It was a much-needed victory for the Men in Blue who became the first team to win a T20 World Cup title without losing a single match in the tournament.

After the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from the T20I format. Both Rohit and Kohli finished as the top two highest run-getters in the format. Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed the next India captain after Rohit Sharma.
