Sri Lanka National Cricket Team batter Niroshan Dickwella has been suspended from all forms of cricket. As per the reports in NewsWire, it is learned that the keeper-batter has been banned from playing the game due to an alleged anti-doping violation.

The reports claimed that Niroshan Dickwella has been suspended for violating anti-doping terms during the recently concluded Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024. It is also learned that till the investigations are going on, the keeper-batter won't be allowed to play.

Niroshan Dickwella has reportedly consumed cocaine and has been come under serious scanner. Not only playing cricket but the keeper-batter has also been suspended from all sports-related activities including training. This comes as a massive setback for him as this puts his career in jeopardy.

Dickwella reportedly failed a doping test conducted by the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency. The Test took place at the end of the Lankan Premier League and the reports of which didn't come in favour of the former captain of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

The official statement related to the development surrounding Niroshan Dickwella will be announced soon. The keeper-batter has always been in the headlines because of his off-field antics. He earlier was banned for 1 year in 2021 after he breached the covid 19 protocols during a UK tour.

Niroshan Dickwella couldn't set the stage on fire in the final. He scored 5 runs off 8 balls and his team lost the final of the tournament against Jaffna Kings. He last played for the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in a Test in 2023. His last white-ball outing for the team was in 2022. Has also captained the team and has mustered 2757 runs in Tests, 1604 runs in ODIs, and 480 runs in the T20Is.
