The star pacer had finished with amazing figures of 2/14 in three overs to help KKR bowl SRH out to a mere 113 runs on the board. Later, KKR chased down the target inside 11 overs to win the IPL 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 26.

Meanwhile, Starc recently appeared on the LiSTNR Sports podcast, where he was asked to rate his spectacular delivery of the IPL 2024 final, and he had to take a deep breath before sharing his thoughts on the same.

Starc shared that his delivery was not his best, but right after his 2015 ODI World Cup final ball to Brendon McCullum. The pacer said that his best-ever ball was to dismiss McCullum in the ODI World Cup final back in 2015, and then he will certainly put the ball that dismissed Abhishek in the IPL 2024 final.

Mitchell Starc said on the LiSTNR Sports podcast, “I don't know; it's right up there. Did anyone not watch the World Cup final? Not quite your best, but a pretty good one. It's up there. I think it's hard not to say that Baz Ball was the World Cup final at home. I think that all around has to be up there at the top.”

Notably, in the ODI World Cup 2015 final at the iconic MCG, Starc delivered a memorable moment by dismissing New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum in the very first over.

Starc's delivery, a classic yorker, crashed into McCullum's off-stump with precision, and the crowd of 93,013 spectators cheered the legendary moment as the Kiwi batter was in explosive form.

McCullum went back to the pavilion without opening his account after facing three balls, and it was a significant wicket for Australia as they went on to beat New Zealand by seven wickets to lift the ODI World Cup trophy in 2015 at the packed MCG.
