Former India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has named a star India player who is interested in the topic of aliens and is fascinated by them. That star cricketer is none other than Virat Kohli.

Kohli is known for his unbelievable consistency in terms of run-scoring. The ace Indian batter has carried the burden of India's batting throughout the years. His aggressive approach has created fear in the minds of the opposition teams, which has helped India become a dominant force in the world of cricket.

Kohli had a dismal T20 World Cup 2024 recently but played a vital knock of 76 off 59 balls in the tournament's final, which helped India win the final match against South Africa. Kohli was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant performance under pressure.

Virat Kohli is interested in aliens, claims Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik was asked on Cricbuzz about aliens and the former India wicketkeeper spilled the beans by revealing the name of Virat Kohli as the player who is most interested in aliens.

"I don't believe in aliens. Actually, I don't have much knowledge in that domain. But I'll tell you who's interested in aliens and who's read up about it, knows a bit about it. You'll be surprised, yes, Virat Kohli," Karthik said on Cricbuzz.

Karthik also remembered a time when Kohli showed him a video about aliens in America and claimed that he was someone who is very interested in aliens.

"I remember him showing me a YouTube video about aliens spotted in America or some place in Nevada. I forgot the name exactly. It's not something that's top of my list in terms of memory, but I know he was very interested in that subject," he added.

Kohli and Karthik have shared the same dressing room with each other for some years. Not only both of them have played for India with each other, they have also represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. Till IPL 2024, Karthik was playing for RCB before announcing his retirement this season.

Dinesh Karthik speaks about Gautam Gambhir

Dinesh Karthik also spoke about India's new head coach Gautam Gambhir and his strengths.

"He (Gautam Gambhir) is a complete player's man. He protects his players, and that's very important in international cricket because, at times, you can feel lonely or deserted in international cricket when performances don't go your way," Karthik stated.

Gautam Gambhir was appointed India's new head coach a few days ago after Rahul Dravid's tenure came to an end after India's T20 World Cup campaign, where India won the title. Gambhir's first assignment as India's coach will begin from the tour of Sri Lanka where they will play three T20Is and three ODIs.

After a few days of announcing his retirement from IPL, Dinesh Karthik was roped in by RCB as their new batting coach and mentor. His new role will kick off from the IPL 2025 season.
