Chahal revealed that he has shared a close bond with Rohit since 2011. They shared laughs, went on dinner outings, and spent time together during the overseas tours.
He said, “Then there is Rohit bhai, who is like a middle brother with whom you do all the fun. Because I have played with Rohit Bhai since 2011. And we have a very good bond. We used to go out for dinners. We had a group of 4-5 people who would go out to eat on any tour. So, there was a bonding from there. I have had a lot of fun with Rohit bhai, but there was always a line.”

He explained that simple outings or casual meetups were often misunderstood. Whether it was the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where Chahal and Magavash were seen enjoying the India-Pakistan match together, or a Christmas event, people exaggerated it.
Chahal shared how a Christmas dinner photo was cropped to make it appear like just he and Mahavash were together, and that added fuel to the dating rumors. The cricketer further noted, “We had a Christmas dinner with five people, but the photo was cropped to make it look like just the two of us were on a dinner date.”
He also recalled another moment when a video went viral where Mahavash was just dropping him off at the airport. Chahal signed off by saying, “I was just fixing my hair, and people started saying all sorts of cheap things. That really hurt me.”
