Australian swashbuckling batter Travis Head shared his views on the "hottest" Indian player ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25) series. Travis Head picked skipper Rohit Sharma as the "hottest" Indian player, adding that Jasprit Bumrah has got some work to do on himself.

Bumrah has had success against Travis Head, dismissing him twice in Test cricket. Head has scored 50 runs off 126 balls at an average of 25 against the Indian pacer. Bumrah has taken 32 wickets in 12 Tests in Australia, including one five-wicket haul while Head has scored 715 runs in 10 Tests against India.

Don't Think Jasprit Bumrah Is That Good-Looking - Travis Head

Speaking on 7 Cricket, Travis Head picked the "hottest" Indian player between Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Head said that the pacer still "has some work to do" in terms of attractiveness.

The left-handed batter hailed Rohit Sharma for his style both on and off the field, especially his aggressive batting in powerplays and his calm. Head believes people would find Rohit appealing due to his mix of cricketing skills and physical charm.

"I don't think he's that good-looking. Potentially [he's got some work to do]. I think there's been hotter. I like Rohit's work and I am happy with the Dad setup, I think he's got the most style out of all of them. He stands at the top, takes them on, double stepping blokes in the powerplay. Both [physical attractiveness and cricketing skills]," Head said.

"I think people will [find him attractive]. Yeah, I just like the way he gets about it, Yeah, around the sheds. I am happy with it, I am happy with his setup. Jasprit, got some work to do. Maybe, after the Test matches [you pass that on]," he added.

Travis Head will play a crucial role for Australia as they look to secure their first Test series win against India in a decade. Australia last won the bilateral Test series against Australia during the 2014-15 series. It’s worth mentioning that Australia lost their last two home series against India by a 2-1 margin.

Rohit Sharma Has Good Record Against Australia Across Formats

Rohit Sharma enjoys playing against Australia. The Indian skipper has scored 3,571 runs across all formats, including 2,033 runs in Australia. Earlier this year, he played a knock of 92 off 41 balls against Australia in the 2024 T20 World Cup, leading India to a 24-run victory.

However, he has struggled in recent Test matches, scoring only 91 runs in India's 3-0 loss to New Zealand. It was their first home series defeat since 2012. He has managed just one half-century in his last five Tests. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah has taken 14 wickets in his last four Test matches.
