Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a massive decision for the betterment of cricket in Pakistan. As per the reports in Pakistan media, it is learned that the head of the board has handed over the cricketing affair to former skipper Waqar Younis.
It is learned that Mohsin Naqvi will be giving Waqar Younis a major position in the Pakistan Cricket Board. The former captain will be given the charge of all the affairs related to cricket in Pakistan. Naqvi, on the other hand, will be seeing all the administrative matters and won't be getting involved in cricket.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been giving everything to make cricket better in Pakistan. He has made major steps after the team's debacle in the T20 World Cup 2024. The head of the board mentioned that he would be performing surgery on the team, and since then, he has taken quite a few bold steps.
Following his statement, the Pakistan Cricket Board sacked Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq as the selectors of the team and gave the authority to head coaches Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie.
If this was not enough, the Pakistan Cricket Board also denied giving NOCs to Naseem Shah, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan to play in the overseas league. He also mentioned that they will not tolerate any indiscipline in the team as well.

Pakistan Cricket Board also has been working hard to improve cricket at the grassroots level. The last few months have been very tough for the Pakistan National Cricket Team as they have performed well under par and have faced a lot of criticism for their poor performances, especially in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Pakistan, who was the finalist of the last T20 World Cup, faced a group-stage exit in the T20 World Cup 2024. They suffered a shambolic defeat to the United States of America in the league stage and then also lost to the India National Cricket Team, getting eliminated from the tournament in the group stage itself.
