Former England captain Nasser Hussain has picked two young cricketers to become future legends in the cricketing world. Nasser Hussain named Indian opener Shubman Gill and New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra as his picks for potential next superstars.
Shubman Gill has displayed outstanding form for the Indian cricket team this year, emerging as the leading run-scorer in international cricket in 2023. Rachin Ravindra turned heads with his batting performances during the recent ODI World Cup 2023 held in India.
Hopefully, Shubman Gill Will Have A Good 2024 ??? Nasser Hussain
In a video shared by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Nasser Hussain commended Shubman Gill???s impressive performances in the majority of 2023. Hussain acknowledged a dip in Gill???s form towards the end but anticipated a successful 2024 for him.
???I am going with Shubman Gill. I think he had a very good three-quarters, nine-tenths of 2023. He must have learned so much from having the likes of Rohit Sharma on the other end. Maybe that illness towards the end just got him a little bit and his form dipped. He is a super talent and he is going to be the next sensation for India for years to come. Hopefully, he will have a good 2024,??? said Hussain.

Gill was last seen in action during the first Test match against South Africa in Centurion. The batter scored 22 runs in the series opener. He is expected to retain his place in the team for the next match, which is slated to commence in Cape Town on January 3.
Rachin Ravindra Was A Revelation ??? Nasser Hussain
Hussain praised Rachin Ravindra???s stellar performance in the World Cup, highlighting his impactful contributions at the top of the order. He expressed his belief in Ravindra???s ability to continue progressing and making valuable contributions in the future.
???And the man who lit the World Cup up was Rachin Ravindra. Going into the World Cup, I had seen him in England a bit. He came in at the Lord???s down the order and smashed it around. I thought he could play. When he was given a chance at the top of the order, he was a revelation. Hopefully, he can continue his progression,??? said Hussain.
Rachin Ravindra finished as the fourth-highest run scorer in the World Cup, scoring 578 runs in 10 matches at an impressive average of 106.44. The left-handed batter showcased remarkable form, smashing three centuries and two half-centuries in the tournament.
Across 37 international matches in 2023, Ravindra scored 911 runs at an average of 36.44 and took 23 wickets. He didn???t get an opportunity in red-ball cricket this year. Overall, the 24-year-old all-rounder represented the national team in three Tests and 18 T20Is.
