NZ vs AFG: Rashid Khan Thanks Delhi Fans For Supporting Afghanistan Against England

Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan has thanked the fans who supported him and his teammates throughout their match against England at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (October 15). A large crowd of mostly Indian fans attended the World Cup match and the fans made sure to make their presence felt.
Right from the start till the end, the fans showed their support to Afghanistan who have played their home games in India in recent times. The fans were also seen chanting the names of Rashid Khan and his teammate Naveen-ul-Haq during the game. The Afghan players also made sure to make the most of the support as they stunned the reigning world champions by 69 runs.
Batting first, Afghanistan posted a competitive total of 284 runs. The architect of the big score was their star opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz. He smashed 80 runs off just 57 balls and shared a partnership of 114 runs with Ibrahim Zadran for the first wicket before being run out. Ikram Alikhil also scored a crucial fifty for the Afghan outfit.
In reply, England were bowled out for 215 runs in the 41st over. Harry Brook played a fighting knock of 66 runs but got little support from the other end. Afghanistan???s spinners were the destructor-in-chief with the ball as they shared 8 wickets between themselves. Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up 3 wickets each while Mohammad Nabi accounted for two.
