Former England captain Michael Vaughan has heaped high praise on tall lanky pacer Ollie Robinson, stating that the right-arm pacer is a fantastic find for Joe Root’s team.

Ollie Robinson had a sensational start to his international career against New Zealand earlier in the summer.

The right-arm pacer claimed a total of seven wickets during his Test debut against the Kiwis back in June where he impressed with his ability to move the ball both ways besides attracting prodigious bounce off the surface.

Ollie Robinson was the lone shining point for England during that Lord’s Test against New Zealand but his social media shenanigans in his teenage years came back to hound as he was suspended by the ECB for a few games.

Robinson has made his return to international cricket in the ongoing Test against India in Nottingham and apart from James Anderson, he has been the pick of the English pacers.

Robinson troubled Rohit Sharma early on in the innings whenever he got the ball to tail back in.

Then on day 02, he got rid of a dangerous-looking Rishabh Pant courtesy of a clever ploy where he kept a fielder at short cover and enticed the southpaw to drive on the up.

Pant duly obliged and ended up giving a simple catch to Jonny Bairstow.

Taking to his Twitter account, Michael Vaughan heaped high praise on the young seamer as he went on to compare him with Australia’s Josh Hazlewood, who is renowned for his relentless accuracy besides his ability to move the ball and attract bounce off the surface.

“Ollie Robinson is a fantastic find for England .. Makes it look so easy .. Reminds me of Josh Hazlewood .. #ENGvIND” said Michael Vaughan.
