Through a social media post, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed that the Prime Minister has congratulated the teams for the massive success. The team led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz secured the series after winning the third and deciding match by 11 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday (March 15).
"In an official statement, the Prime Minister said: 'Our valiant young cricketers have shown that success is possible through dedication and collective effort,'" the cricket governing board informed their followers on social media platforms.
BCB shared what the Prime Minister said in his official statement
"The impressive performance of the National Cricket Team has made the entire nation proud. I hope this triumphant journey of our young generation will continue in the days ahead," the list further reads.
In response, BCB showed their respect for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to encourage the cricket team.
"The BCB takes this opportunity to express thanks and gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for his constant support and encouragement for Bangladesh cricket," the cricket board replied to the PM.

The hosts won the third match by 11 runs, scoring 290 runs in exchange for 5 wickets in the first innings. Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who secured a 107-run knock in the process, was the star performer of the match. With the ball, Taskin Ahmed notched up 4 crucial wickets while Nahid Rana and Mustafizur Rahman bagged a brace and a three-wicket figure, respectively.
After the match, Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz praised Tamim and a few other individuals for performing brilliantly to win the match and the series against Pakistan.

"We're playing well, especially like Tamim, the way he batted. And definitely, they played really, really well. And then Litton Das and Shanto, and Towhid Hridoy, they played really well in the middle," the skipper said praising his batters' performances in the crucial match.
"I think Taskin bowled really well. In these overs, he took two wickets. And in the end, he got two wickets. Definitely, the momentum is there. I think the whole of the series, I think Taskin, Nahid Rana they bowled really, really well," he said further to explain how the bowlers contributed equally well to confirm the victory.
