"Out of fuel": Fans troll Suryakumar Yadav after being dismissed for a golden duck against PBKS

Suryakumar Yadav, the Mumbai Indians veteran batter, departed for a golden duck again against the Punjab Kings after Arshdeep struck twice in consecutive deliveries. The Mumbai Indians are already in a very poor position in this edition of the IPL, having lost three matches in a row after a winning start to their campaign. Having lost the last three matches, they need to bounce back.

Their next scheduled match is against the Punjab Kings, which marks another contest in the rivalry week, after the Shreyas Iyer-led side knocked the Mumbai Indians out of Qualifier 2 of the previous edition of the IPL.

The Indian captain SKY won the ICC T20 World Cup with India in this edition of the competition; however, his batting form has been a major concern for the Men in Blue. Now it has been an even tougher job for the batter to break the shackles in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians.

Though Surya's run drought has not continued in the IPL, he has not been seen at his very best. He used to be MI's key man whenever they chased big totals; however, that's not been the case in this edition, while his strike rate has also dropped significantly.

Suryakumar came out to bat after Ryan Rickelton's awful dismissal to Arshdeep Singh's loosest delivery. However, Surya nicked one that was way outside the off-stump and was caught sharply by the short third-man fielder. He was dismissed without scoring.

Quinton de Kock and Naman Dhir helped MI to a promising start

South African legendary wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock, who has been waiting for his chance in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians, a franchise with whom he has had immense success on former occasions, has returned to some promising form.

Playing the very first match of the season, he went on to score a stunning half-century for his side. De Kock opened alongside his countryman Ryan Rickelton and handed MI a good start with a partnership alongside Naman Dhir, after the Punjab batter was promoted in the batting order.

QDK came in as Rohit Sharma's replacement in the playing XI and has played a rocket innings as MI's batting saw a new dawn at the top of the order. He will force the MI coaches to reconsider him even when Rohit returns to the XI. MI after the two wickets have controlled the game, de Kock has been playing amazingly and is nearing his hundred and it will be a huge for MI.
