India National Cricket Team fast bowler Mohammed Shami provided a major update about his return. The pace bowler mentioned that he is pain-free now, and he wants to make sure he goes to the Australia series with a lot of overs under his belt.

Mohammed Shami has almost attained his full fitness, and it isn't long before the pacer will be back in the Indian colors. The fast bowler, after his prolonged injury, has finally started bowling and is putting hard yards at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Shami, for the last few days, has been bowling at full tilt at the NCA. He was recently seen bowling to India National Cricket Team assistant coach Abhishek Nayar after the first Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team, which took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Mohammed Shami was seen running with full intensity but had a kneecap placed on his left leg as he troubled the former Indian player. The fast bowler has been gradually increasing his workload and has been returning to his best with each day passing by.

Shami was right on the track to make his return for the India National Cricket Team. The fast bowler reportedly was all set to come back to the team for the ongoing Test series New Zealand National Cricket Team. However, he faced a small setback as he experienced swelling in his left knee.

But since then, he has been working hard at the NCA and has now almost attained full fitness. It will be a major boost for the India National Cricket Team, especially with Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 around the corner. He would be key for the team in the series.

Shami was last seen in action in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. During the tournament, he faced an injury in the ankle but took injections to be available for the team. After that, he underwent surgery for the same and missed a lot of crucial games for the team, including the T20 World Cup 2024.

Shami arubaly is one of the best pacers going around. His partnership with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj could turn out to be key factors going for the team in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
