Pakistan will take on Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series in Sharjah starting with the first T20I on March 24. The PAK vs AFG first T20I will start at 9.30 pm IST which is 8 pm local time.
Rashid Khan will lead Afghanistan while Shadab Khan will lead Pakistan in the series. All three PAK vs AFG T20Is will be played in Sharjah. The next two T20Is will be played on March 26 (Sunday) and March 27 (Monday).

Afghanistan have named a 17-member side with Rashid Khan leading the team. Mohammad Nabi has been recalled into the side for the three-match T20I series. A few of these players will head straight to India after the end of the third T20I for IPL 2023.
The Afghan side played their previous T20I series against the UAE. They won the series 2-1 winning the first and the third T20I. UAE managed to win the second T20I by nine wickets. The side are placed tenth in the ICC T20I rankings.

Pakistan were the finalist in the previous T20 World Cup losing out to England. Ahead of the T20 World Cup, they hosted England for a seven-match T20I series which turned out to be a historic one with the visitors winning the series 4-3. Pakistan are currently ranked third in the ICC T20I rankings.
Regular players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf are rested for the side. Their absence gives the others an opportunity to make a mark in the series. Azam Khan, Ishanullah, and Zaman Khan are the players to watch out for.
Meanwhile, the likes of Rashid Khan, Naveen Ul Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqui, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz will be representing various teams in the IPL after the end of the T20I series. Rashid plays for the Gujarat Titans while Farooqui plays for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Gurbaz and Naveen Ul Haq will join the KKR and LSG camps respectively. Rashid will join the Gujarat camp ahead of their IPL 2023 campaign opener against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
