Pakistan are reportedly set to make a number of changes in their playing eleven for the must-win clash against Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC Men???s Cricket World Cup 2023. The match is scheduled to be played on Tuesday (October 31) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The Men in Green are all but out of the semifinal race after suffering four losses in a row. They began their campaign with wins over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka before losing to India, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa. With just 2 wins from 6 games, they are currently languishing at the seventh spot in the points table.
Mathematically, Pakistan are still alive in the competition but needs nothing less than a miracle to seal a semifinal spot in the ODI World Cup for the first time since 2011. For the miracle to happen, they first need to win their remaining games starting with the upcoming game against Bangladesh.

For the must-win clash, Pakistan are set to make three changes to the playing eleven that played against South Africa. According to Geo News journalist Arfa Feroz Zake, Imam-ul-Haq, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz won???t be playing in the upcoming game. The trio will be replaced by Fakhar Zaman, Agha Salman, and Usama Mir.

Talking about Bangladesh, they are currently languishing at the ninth spot with just 1 win from 6 games. They began their campaign with a win before losing 5 games in a row. Unlike Pakistan, Bangladesh still have to seal a spot in the Champions Trophy. For that, they need to be in the top eight teams in the ongoing World Cup. Pakistan have already sealed the spot due to the host status.
