Pakistan Cricket Team is on a roll after winning back-to-back matches against England. The Men in Green have made a stellar comeback in the 7 T20I Series by taking a lead of 3-2. Pakistan would know that one more victory would seal the series for them.
Pakistan has been dealt a huge blow as speedster Naseem Shah has tested positive for Covid-19. The fast bowler got famous after his heroics in Asia Cup against Afghanistan and the way he stun Indian batters in the 1st round. The bowler earlier was taken to the hospital for pneumonia.
PCB on Naseem Shah
“Naseem Shah is back in the team hotel where he will follow all COVID-19 protocols.” PCB said in a statement. PCB also made it clear that the pacer will not take part in the remaining two matches. Naseem Shah had played only 1 match of the series which was the 1st T20I where he gave away 41 runs in 4 overs and went wicketless.
England Cricket Team in Disarray
England Cricket Team would be wondering how they cannot chase decent totals. The batters are throwing wickets which is doing no good to the team. The visitors were 2-1 ahead in the series but now they are in a precarious position as they have to win the next two matches to clinch the series.
Alex Hales needs to make sure that he is playing long & effective innings. The right-handed batter still has to earn back the trust of the ECB to be a permanent member of the team. The likes of Dawid Malan & Moeen Ali are the senior batters and they have to form partnerships as playing 20 odd runs won’t do any good to the team.
England needs to pull up their socks and play smart cricket; the bowlers’ hard work is getting ruined due to some poor shot selection. The peculiarity of the England Cricket Team is that they bat very long, but at the moment the top order is getting collapsed and all of the pressure comes on the lower middle order batters.
