Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Shaheen Afridi came up with a massive effort to remove Babar Azam during the Champions Cup 2024 match. The match between the Stallions and the Lions is taking place at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.

Babar played a vital innings of 76 runs off 79 balls. The right-hander slammed 9 fours in his innings and batted with a strike rate of 96.2. The right-hander also added 144 runs partnership with Tayyab Tahir (74) as they helped the team go past over 200 runs.
Babar hasn't had a great run with the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The batter was last seen in action during the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. People expected him to set the stage on fire and return to form on the international stage, but he didn't meet those expectations.
Babar Azam slammed just 64 runs in four innings at an average of 16 and a strike rate of 43.53 with a top score of 31 in the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The right-hander notably has not scored a single half-century in Test cricket since January 2023.
With Babar Azam now scoring runs in the Champions Cup 2024, it will be a massive boost for him as well as the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The right-hander would want to carry his form in international cricket and would want to help the team win the three-match Test series against the England National Cricket Team.
Babar would first he hoping to continue his good form in the ongoing Champions Cup. He would be keen to silence his critics with his bat. Missing the ton would gut the right-hander.
