Pakistan National Cricket Team white-ball skipper Babar Azam has been going through a terrible run in all three formats. The right-hander has faced a lot of criticism as he has been failing to live up to the expectations, bagging a series of low scores for the national team.
Babar Azam will now be featuring in the domestic circuit in Pakistan and it will be a massive opportunity for him to regain his form and get back to his best. However, so far it doesn't seem like that as the batter ahead of the domestic tournament failed in the practice game as well and looked absolutely dejected.
Babar in the Champions Cup practice match got bowled to a spinner Mohammad Asghar. The right-hander attempted to play the paddle sweep but missed the ball to only see his middle stump getting uprooted. The video went viral with fans lashing out at the white-ball skipper.

Babar scored just 20 runs off 20 balls. The right-hander walked back absolutely disappointed. Things are not going right at all for him. The captain of the white-ball team irrespective of the format has been failing to make an impact and play any big innings for his team.
Babar was last seen in action during the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The right-hander didn't have a great outing with the bat in the entire series as he failed in all four innings and was one of the main reasons why the Pakistan National Cricket Team went on to lose the series.
Babar slammed just 64 runs in four innings at an average of 16 and a strike rate of 43.53 with a top score of 31 in the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The right-hander notably has not scored a single half-century in Test cricket since January 2023.
Also, Babar has struggled to get going in the white-ball cricket. The senior batter captained Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024. Not only as a batter but he also struggled to get going as the leader of the team as under him team bagged losses against the United States of America and India.
With Babar struggling to get going both as a leader and a batter, there have been a lot of talks about his sacking. There have been reports which claimed that the Pakistan Cricket Board might sack him as the captain of the team going ahead.
But the fresh reports stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman has left the decision to coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten. But both the coaches are of the opinion that both Shan Masood and Babar Azam need to be given a proper run before judging their leadership abilities.
