PAK vs NZ: New Zealand Squad Arrives In Pakistan Ahead Of Limited-Overs Series

The New Zealand cricket team has arrived in Pakistan for a series of limited-overs matches against the host squad. The Kiwis, led by Tom Latham, will play five T20Is and five ODIs against Pakistan.

This is a significant tour for both sides, as New Zealand is preparing for the 2018 ODI World Cup and Pakistan is seeking to improve its position in the ICC rankings.

The New Zealand cricket team arrived at Lahore airport and was immediately taken to their hotel with high-security measures in place. After resting for two days, they will begin practice sessions on April 13, leading up to their T20 matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi and the ODIs in Rawalpindi and Karachi.

With strict security protocols in place, the cricket board in Pakistan is eager to showcase its ability to host international teams after years of struggling to convince teams to tour the country due to security concerns. Daryl Mitchell, a New Zealand all-rounder, is looking forward to the upcoming T20 and ODI series in Pakistan. After arriving in Pakistan, he indicated his excitement to join the tour. Mitchell and his crew are prepared to offer their finest performance and get the greatest results possible.

“There are several young players in the team who have not played in these conditions before, making it a challenging tour. Pakistan has a world-class team and that the conditions are vastly different from those in New Zealand, which will provide valuable experience for the young players. Despite the length of the series, he stated that the team will strive to play good cricket,” Daryl Mitchell said.
