PAK vs SA: Kamran Akmal Slams Irfan Pathan For Dancing With Rashid Khan After Pakistan's Loss

Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal wasn’t amazed by Irfan Pathan after he danced with Rashid Khan following Afghanistan’s win over Pakistan. The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led thumped Men in Green by 8 wickets in the ICC World Cup 2023 clash at Chennai.

Afghanistan asserted their authority over Pakistan as they outplayed them registering their first ever over them in ODIs. They batted and blew magnificently well and won the game by 8 wickets to bag their second win of the tournament.

As Afghanistan thumped Pakistan, the players of the team were jubilant as they did a lap of honor and also danced on the field. As they moved around the ground, Rashid Khan danced with Irfan Pathan, who was doing broadcasting duties.

The duo danced in joy, celebrating Afghanistan’s win over Pakistan, and also shared a warm hug. Following that Irfan Pathan has received a lot of skewering for his antics from various Pakistan fans, who said that he had no concern with the game.

Kamran Akmal is the latest to join the bandwagon. He said that he was surprised to see Irfan Pathan dance. He highlighted that when India beat Pakistan in Australia, the former Indian all-rounder wasn’t as happy as he was after Afghanistan’s win.

Kamran Akmal added that Irfan Pathan being a neutral commentator shouldn’t do such type things. Speaking to ARY News, he explained:

“I was surprised at Irfan Pathan dance. I remember India beating Pakistan in Australia; even then this kind of happiness wasn’t seen. But there seems to be greater joy in Afghanistan defeating Pakistan. It was sad to see – not just for me but for the nation. The broadcasters should think about this – neutral commentators shouldn’t do this.”

PAK vs SA: Irfan Pathan revealed why he danced with Rashid Khan

After the game between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Irfan Pathan revealed that he and Rashid Khan had promised each other. He said that the Afghanistan spinner had told him they would beat Pakistan and in reply, he promised him that he would dance with him if that happened.

Pakistan are under great pressure in the ICC World Cup 2023. They have lost against India, Australia, and Afghanistan.

They will next be seen in action when they take on South Africa on Friday (27th October). A loss here would also end their chances of qualifying.
