PAK vs SA: Watch - Quinton de Kock Smashes Shaheen Afridi For 4 Consecutive Fours

The 30-year-old South Africa National Cricket Team opening batsman Quinton de Kock launched an attack on the premier Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Shaheen Afridi in the 26th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The match between the Temba Bavuma-led South Africa National Cricket Team and the Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team is currently underway at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai on Friday, October 27.

Chasing the target in the match, De Kock played his natural attacking brand of cricket and gave a hard time to the Pakistan bowlers. He also destroyed premier pacer Afridi in the 2nd over of the match, to leave Babar Azam frustrated.

De Kock started off by smashing a four to Afridi past cover and the pacer bowled a wide delivery next. The wicketkeeper-batter then smashed three more boundaries on the next three legal deliveries to give a hard time to the pacer.

Watch – Shaheen Afridi Wins The Battle As He Cleans Up Quinton de Kock

Although De Kock started off brilliantly and smashed Afridi all over the ground, it was the pacer who eventually won the battle. On the third ball of the fourth over, Afridi bowled a short ball and the wicketkeeper-batter went for a pull, which he mistimed and the ball went straight into the hands of Mohammad Wasim Jr.

Quinton de Kock, who has smashed three tons so far in the World Cup 2023, scored 24 runs off 14 balls, including 5 fours, before getting dismissed.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in the match. They looked set to reach a total of 300 but they posted just 270 runs on the board.

The Men In Green were off to a poor start as openers Abdullah Shafique (9) and Imam-ul-Haq (12) were cleaned up by left-arm seamer Marco Jansen. However, Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam, and Shadab Khan played good knocks to help the side reach a good total.
